Younger (6 – 12 year olds)

This class caters for the younger student, aged 6 – 12 year olds. It is also assessed on ability, progressing to the Older class based on ability, size and temperament.

Boxing for kids is very much about providing an uplifting environment where young people can decompress, learn, and have fun around peers and positive leaders. Boxing encourages individuality and self-worth in all students. Our coaches provide positive support and training to help athletes achieve their potential. Boxing sharpens kids' problem-solving skills and teaches them about health and fitness. They learn to appreciate the importance of a healthy diet because of how it will improve their performance during training but also in life. Our trainers teach proper form, which prevents injuries and young people remember these tools throughout their lives.

Our trainers push values such as hard work, discipline and respect. Trainers strive to instil motivation and confidence into their students and help them with goal making.

Older (13 – 18 year olds)

This class is for teenagers to young adults between 13 – 18 year olds who want to either learn or progress their boxing skills in a safe and friendly environment.

Boxing teaches you how to tackle obstacles and overcome adversity. It's one of the toughest workouts you will ever experience in your life. Oftentimes, every bit of willpower is needed just to get through a one or two-hour session. With perseverance and persistence, however, training soon becomes incredibly fun and addicting. The traits and qualities of a great boxer include a passion for the sport, being able to adapt to anything that comes their way, avoiding distractions on the way up, and fighting all odds to reach their goals. They also have a strong character and self-discipline to get them through the rough patches.

It's fair to say that boxing teaches young men and women discipline, dedication and respect; nevertheless, it also teaches them how to fight. Boxing can indeed be a great hook for change: it gives young people a place to hang out and develop themselves, while also diverting those who might otherwise get involved in crime.
